Karen Jabbour Lahoud is a Legal Advisor at Banque du Liban Legal Department. She has been a member of the Beirut Bar since 2004.
Karen has practiced law in Lebanon and GCC (UAE, Bahrain and Oman) for over 13 years and has developed a wide experience in Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions, Real Estate, Investment Structures and relevant cross-border contracts.
She currently focuses on Intermediate Circular 331 legal aspects, banking M&A, capital increase, issuance of bonds, foreign equity investments, and global grants/loans from international nongovernmental organizations and intergovernmentalorganizations.
Karen also teaches International Commercial Law for advanced graduate diploma in law (DEA) classes. She taught Business Law and Legal Research & Writing classes and has published articles on banking and securities.
Karen obtained a Bachelor of Civil Law from Sagesse University in Lebanon and then obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) majoring in Business Law from University of California, Berkeley in USA.
