Yasmina Choueri

Yasmina Choueiri (MS Urban Environmental Management, BS Landscape Design and Eco-management).Yasmina completed her graduate studies at Wageningen University, the Netherlands and her undergraduate studies at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. She is an Urban Environmental Consultant and Landscape Designer, specialized in sustainable development with a focus on water management.
She is currently working in the business and academic fields.
In the business field she is working with theOtheraDada where she drives the planning and implementation of projects on: landscaping, land-use planning, environmental architecture and sustainable development; along with the related research on: urban biodiversity, biomimicry, ecosystems and their services, habitat, native fauna/flora, and bio-inspired interventions. She applied these concepts in the winning projects of Beirut RiverLESS at Disrupt!Design! organized by the MENA Design Research Center and Not Just About Dalieh a competition for the preservation of the Lebanese coast organized by The Civil Campaign to Protect the Dalieh of Raouche. She delivered presentations and lectures on her field in different workshops.
In the academic field she is a researcher and a lecturer at the American University of Beirut. Her research is focused on solutions which integrate scenario planning with water management to provide sustainable measures to improve residential water cycles in urban areas; she has presented her research at the International Conference on Urban Sustainability and Resilience at University College London. She also assists in the development and delivery of landscape design courses and studios to undergraduate students.
